PGA Teaching Professional

Ian is a Class A PGA Professional with a wide variety of teaching, coaching and playing experience.  Ian joined the team at 1757 Golf Club in March of 2023.  Prior to working at 1757 Ian was the Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Robert Trent Jones Golf club in Gainesville VA, and as the Director of Instruction at Springfield Golf and Country Club in Springfield VA.  Ian has had a successful playing career as a professional and collegiately.  He qualified for the PGA Professionals National Championship in 2022 and 2023 and just missed qualifying for the PGA Championship in 2022, losing in a playoff.  Ian played his college golf at Liberty University and played in the 2012 NCAA Division 1 National Championship.  Ian also spent a season as an Assistant Golf Coach for a season after graduation. 

Ian enjoys teaching and coaching players of all skill levels and has a strong knowledge of on course strategy as well as short game theory to help players save shots around the greens.
