Meet Our Instructors
Tiffany Faucette, Director of Instruction
Tiffany Faucette has eleven years of worldwide professional experience competing on the Ladies European Tour, the Duramed Futures Tour, the Asian Tour, and some events on the LPGA Tour. She competed in two majors on the LPGA Tour: The 2004 US Women's Open and the 2006 McDonald's Championship. Her professional experience was preceded by an impressive amateur career in which she was the number one ranked amateur in the Titleist/Golfweek Rankings in 1997. Faucette played her college golf at Florida State University where she was captain her last two seasons.
Faucette is a LPGA Class A certified instructor and member advisor for the LPGA T&CP. Her teaching mentor for the past six years has been Carl Rabito, Top 50 instructor; Tiffany is also a Rabito Golf Certified Instructor in the Structure Governs Function Philosophy. Tiffany's other teaching influences came during her playing career in which she worked with two other Top 50 instructors: Craig Shankland and Dr. David Wright, as well as Kevin Smeltz and Dr. Bob Winters at the Leadbetter Academy.
Tiffany moved to Reston, VA in July of 2009 and is looking forward to sharing her golf knowledge and experiences with her students at 1757 Golf Club.
Mike Gertzberg, Assistant Director of Instruction
Mike Gertzberg, a PGA Certified Class "A" Member, originally hails from Albany, New York where he began playing golf competitively at the club level at age 13. Mike gained his teaching experience in Orlando, FL from Carl Rabito, PGA Master teaching professional and top 50 instructor. Mike is also a Rabito Golf Certified Instructor in the Structure Governs Function Philosophy.
Since 2004, Mike has taught numerous lessons in private, public, and resort settings, including the past 3 years leading the junior camps. He also served as lead golf instructor at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Professionally, Mike has won 5 times on the Florida mini tours and competed in the 2003 PGA Tour Qualifying and in the 2005 PGA Tour's Funai Classic played at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Mike has a degree in Mathematics and Business from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is now a full time instructor at 1757 Golf Club and Academy and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experiences with his students.
Joe Lussier, Staff Instructor
Born in Herndon, VA, Joe began his passion for golf 7 years ago. He started golf school at the Golf Academy of America Myrtle Beach Campus in January of 2008 and upon graduation he received an award for most improved player in his graduating class. Joe improved his handicap during school from 10 to 1.4 and graduated in April 2009. He started his career in June of 2009 at the 1757 Golf Club.
Currently, Joe is an apprentice in the PGA PGM Program. He loves to work with players of all ages and is extremely happy to see students succeed. Joe is very excited about teaching at the 1757 Golf Club and is looking forward to seeing you at the club.
