Once a year, it’s our pleasure and privilege to be a part of something so unique and so meaningful; something that makes such a big difference in people’s lives and leaves the participants feeling great and wanting to do more! On Monday, August 11th, approximately 11,000 golfers teed it up at one of more than 120 courses across the country – all in support of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). Originated and operated by Billy Casper Golf, the WLGO raises much-needed financial support for the many men and women who were wounded while protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.
This year, 143 players came to 1757 to enjoy a great day of golf and to support the WWP. Norbie Lara, a Wounded Warrior from California, spoke to the group about his experiences and traveled around the course saying ‘thank you’ to the participants. The great scores, great food and even a hole-in-one by one of the participants all paled in comparison to the thrill of raising money to help Warriors like Norbie and their families. We want to share a HUGE THANK YOU to all who participated and/or donated to this great cause!
I hope you’ll enjoy a few photos from our WLGO day. It’s not too late to help our Wounded Warriors! Go to the following link and make your donation by Friday, August 15th!
